It was brought to my attention by TMNP that some school children are collecting and disturbing our local dwarf chameleons, which we are lucky enough to have a community of near the school. Given that we are a registered green school it reflects a bit poory on us that this came to me through this forum! I would suggest that this issue is touched on during assembly and in the classes. These reptiles are rare and endangerd and removing them from thier colonies is not at all advisable. The best thing is to teach our children to observe but not to disturb natural organisms and processess - this is how we can best learn about natural processess and science.
