Imhoff relies on parent participation at all levels of the school’s functioning. Your feedback and comments regarding any aspect of the school is welcomed. These guidelines are designed to facilitate effective communication at Imhoff and to help point parents in the right direction – so you know who to talk to and how best to raise your concerns, make suggestions or simply ask a question.
If you have a concern about:
Your child or class teacher, start by talking to the teacher.
Please do not approach a teacher at school when s/he is arriving, leaving, or busy with the children. Class teachers will let parents know at the start of the term how best to set up a meeting at a time that is convenient for you both. Some teachers prefer talking in person before or after class, and others prefer to communicate by email, phone, WhatsApp and/or sms.
If it is not possible to approach your class teacher or guardian of the class directly with your particular concern, then you can approach the faculty chair, Laura in the Pre-School and Candice in the Primary School, or the school coordinator, Stefanie Roux, who will take your concern to the right place.
Financial matters, speak to the Bursar, Sonja Borodin-Sleigh
The sports programme, talk to the Sports Coordinator, Helen Davies or the secretary, Cassandra Hunter
New admissions, speak to the Enrolment Coordinator, Claire Walter
The school buildings, grounds and facilities , record your comments in the Maintenance Book (in the school office)
The Dragon Tree Project,Fundraising speak to the Claire Lacey
The Dragon Tree Build Team speak to Stefanie Roux
