Celebrating Founder’s Day

Rudolf Steiner was born on 25 February 1861, and opened the first “FreeWaldorf School” in Stuttgart in Germany in 1919.

It is a tradition that all Waldorf Schools around the world celebrate Founder’s Day. On Firday 23 February the Primary School classes celebrated by going on various outings, inspite of the much needed rain.

Classes 1 and 7 thoroughly enjoyed their morning at Fish Hoek Beach

Class 5 had a beautifully creative Founder’s Day outing at Clay Cafe in Hout Bay

Windmill Beach in Simon’s Town was the spot where Class 3 enjoyed sea, sand and sun

Class 4 went to Dalebrook Pool. The children swam, fished and took care of a relaxed cormorant

Class 6 spent a lovely morning swimming, snorkeling, studying starfish and playing ball on Seaforth Beach

Class 2 had a wonderful Founder’s Day picnic on the foundations of what will become their new classroom
