Well done, Scarlette!

Scarlette van Jaarsveld, Class 6, has been surfing for just over a year now. She participated in her first ‘Surfing South Africa’ girls competition at the beginning of the year and won the U12 girls division. She then did the WP Trials for the ‘Grommet Games’ and achieved 1st place earning herself a spot on the team. The competition was held in P.E. and she won the title of U12 girls SA Grom Champ. And to tip the scale, Scarlette won the WP Trials again and earned her place on the team to go to ‘South African Championships’ held in Jeffrey’s Bay earlier this month, achieving 2nd place in the country in U12 girls.

“What a finish to the year! Scarlette: I’m really stoked!”, says her mother, Tanya van Jaarsveld.
